James K. Boyce is an author, naturalist, economist, and senior fellow at the Political Economy Research Institute at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is the author of Economics for People and the Planet: Inequality in the Era of Climate Change and The Case for Carbon Dividends, and co-author of A Quiet Violence: View from a Bangladesh Village. He received the 2017 Leontief Prize for Advancing the Frontiers of Economic Thought and the 2024 Global Inequality Research Award.
