Juliana is the Local Currency intern at the Schumacher Center. Her work includes promoting the local BerkShares currency and the merchants who accept it, as well as highlighting local currency initiatives worldwide. She is currently working on creating a digital implementation of Berkshares with the Neighborly Capital Company. Juliana is a student in the Dual BA program between Columbia University and Sciences Po, where she studies Classics, Economics and International Relations. She has been named to the Dean’s List each semester at Columbia. She lived and studied in France from 2018-20, but was born and raised in the greater Boston area. She previously interned at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. She has spent her last two summers volunteering at the food pantries of the Woburn Council of Social Concern and the Banque Alimentaire de la Marne.
