Judith D. Schwartz
Judith D. Schwartz is a longtime freelance writer whose work has appeared in venues from Glamour and Redbook to The Christian Science Monitor and The New York Times.
She is the author of several books, including Water in Plain Sight: Hope for a Thirsty World (2016), Cows Save the Planet: And Other Improbable Ways of Restoring Soil to Heal the Earth (2013), Tell Me No Lies: How to Face the Truth and Build a Loving Marriage (coauthored, 2000), and The Therapist’s New Clothes (2009). She has traveled and spoken to audiences about soil’s connection to climate change, biodiversity loss, floods, droughts and wildfires, and human health.
Judith Schwartz is a member of the American Society of Journalists and Authors and of the Society of Environmental Journalists. She has an MA in counseling psychology and an MSJ from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. She lives with her family and beagle named Tsotsi in Southern Vermont.
