David Fix is the communications and library assistant at the Schumacher Center. In his role, he manages the Schumacher Center’s various social media accounts to increase awareness of the Center’s work and the work of related organizations. In the library, he assists in organizing the extensive archival collections and works to make material accessible in new ways. David also helps out with BerkShares, Inc. operations, the non-profit organization that manages the region’s local currency and other community economic initiatives.
After spending time at the Schumacher Center, David plans on resuming his studies at Bowdoin College, where he majors in Economics. When in school, his work focuses on heterodox approaches to economics, including new economics and green economics.
