We hope to see you at 1Berkshire’s Creative Resources Conference this Thursday, November 12th, at the Hotel on North. We especially look forward to the keynote address, which will be delivered by Schumacher Center board member Matt Stinchcomb.
Stinchcomb was one of the first four employees at Etsy, the online marketplace for handmade goods. He later became VP of Values and Impact and helped shape Etsy’s mission statement, which is “to reimagine commerce in ways that build a more fulfilling and lasting world.” This summer, Stinchcomb founded Etsy.org, a non-profit focused on reshaping business education. His keynote address will describe Etsy.org’s experimentation with entrepreneurial education programs that foster human capacity, wisdom, insights, and community.
You can read or watch Stinchcomb’s 2014 Annual E. F. Schumacher lecture, entitled “The Nature of Work: How ecosystems can teach us to build lasting and fulfilling business,” on our website.
Join us this Thursday to hear Matt Stinchcomb’s keynote address at the Creative Resources Conference, and to meet him at the post-conference cocktail reception at the Berkshire Museum. Tickets for the conference are available here.
