Cultural Land Trust

In less than a decade, 400+ artist production spaces, music and performing arts venues have closed. Two-thirds of the remaining cultural spaces have leases with less than five years and no rent stability–and over 80% of artists and cultural organizations in B.C. face economic displacement. In response to this crisis, the Cultural Trust was formed in 2018 with the long-term goal of creating a communit land trust that collectively stewards artistic and cultural spaces in B.C.
