Oscar Heanue is a legal intern at the Schumacher Center for New Economics working in the Local Currencies program. Oscar works with BerkShares, Inc. to help develop legal frameworks for the scaling and modernization of local currency. He is currently a 2L at Harvard Law School, where his primary focuses have been on promoting just food economies, sustainable land use, and consumer protection.
Before attending law school, Oscar received his B.A. in economics from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He originally hails from Manchester, MA, where he discovered his passion for policy through volunteer work in local government and political organizing.
