Purpose: Independent membership nonprofit seeking to improve the quality of life for year-round Lake Tahoe Basin residents by creating, retaining, & promoting quality affordable & sustainable housing and supportive programs, especially for the low to moderate income workforce.
Land Holdings: One apartment building with 76 units & 4 single-family homes. Currently, they are building a 248 unit affordable workforce complex, including a community building with affordable childcare, nonprofit offices & meeting space using the community hub navigator model. Uses CLT renewable 99-year lease model to ensure affordability
Governance Notes: Board of Directors include CLT low and moderate-income beneficiaries and community representatives
Partners: The City of South Lake Tahoe, El Dorado County, TRPA, California Tahoe Conservancy, Related California, HUD, California Housing & Urban Development, and other Tahoe Basin Nonprofit Organizations.
Additional Information: Organizes Community Education Seminars including Fraud & ID Theft Protection, Financial Literacy, and New Homeowner Education.
